Brake controller bad or not adjusted rite, or trailer brakes out of adjustment. Is the controller getting juice? Check the fuse or the ground. I have mine wired directly to the battery, both pos. and neg.

ok lets go back for a sec. here. you checked the 7 pin plug on the truck side right? take a test light and clip it’s ground to the pin marked ground have some one hit the truck brakes and see if you get power on the trailer brake leed. if that works try the trailer controler by itself. if that works start checking your trailer. make sure the wires are in good shape. on the trailer brake drum the 2 wires don’t matter witch one is witch as long as one is power and one ground. if you do get power that far its one of two things one the magnet is bad or the shoes are eather not adjusted or sticking.take a wrench and hold it agenst the baking plate. if you feel the magnet pull at all on it or you can here a hum the magnet is good. now if you don’t get power to the 7 pin plug on the truck you’re going to need to figure out why. is there power ot the controler? i don’t know how you wired your controler but i’ll give you some cheap advice if it’s not like this then do it. go down to any chevy dealer and tell them you need the factory wire harness for a trailer brake controler. they are’t to much. you’ll get an obseen amount of wire and the factory j-case fuse for it. the included instructions will tell you exactly wereit plugs in and how to wire it to your controler and even were the fuse goes. that will garentee your fix if you don’t have power to the 7 pin or power to the controler and you don’t have to splice into any of the truck wireing. e-mail me if you need some more help. good luck.
