185/70R14 is the size but is this a general tire or do they make special tires for trailers?

Does it really matter if you replace travel trailer tires with specifically made trailer tires or would a good quality lite truck tire work just as well. I don’t really understand the difference and the price for trailer tires is often the same or more.
Mark F - What about the new reinforced sidewall tires such as Goodyear Silent armor and BFG allterrains?
Wheeler - same question. What about newer reinforced sidewall tires? KZ RV has used allterrains on some of it’s double axle trailers.

I need to take the bearing nut and cotter pin out just to take the tire off. My spare doesn’t have the bearing assembly in it. What do I do? Buy a new bearing assembly for the spare?

I tow a boat and trailer- weight of 3000 lbs. It seems when the tires become three years old they blow out. I do tow between 65 and 75 mph. These tires have less then 5000K miles on them and no visable signs of dry rot and our infalted correctly. I replace them with best avalible to my knowledge, but most tire stores have little to offer. My best guess is that as the tire ages they can not withstand the heat build up. Any advice would be great, besides slow down.
