I am looking for a motorcycle trailer that I can pull behind my motorcycle. I have a V Star 1100. I don’t want to have one custom made I only have about a thousand dollars to spend. I live in texas. it would be nice if you knew of any website. the only one I can find is www.piggybacker.com what is your opinion of this trailer. It looks like it would soot my needs. I just don’t know if it is sturdy enough. thanks

There are a few of the fold up type trailers that are nice if you have limited storage space when your not using it. A friend of mine has one that he bought at jcwhitney last year and we loaded up my Road KIng on it last year when I got a flat and it worked great for the 50 mile trip to the dealer. He also pulls his 1800cc Honda VTX on it and has taken it on several long distance trips. Check them out.

Put out a call for one on your local craig’s list. You may luck out. That you only want to spend a grand could make your chances iffy.

If you have a Northern Tool or Harbor Freight Tools in your area, check it out. They sell a small road trailer for $396.00 and it can be easily converted to a motorcycle trailer.

just not sure where in Texas you are (Austin area here) to help you search…

I built my own trailer to tow behind my motorcycle, using a trailer frame kit from Harbor Freight ( ) and a car top carrier from Sears ( ). Total cost was about $350, and about two weekends to put it all together and make it work.
You can get a trailer hitch for the bike from
