I need to take the bearing nut and cotter pin out just to take the tire off. My spare doesn’t have the bearing assembly in it. What do I do? Buy a new bearing assembly for the spare?

Take the whole assembly off and switch over to “Bearing Buddies” then use regular wheels and tires.
