I want to pull a motorcycle trailer behind my travel trailer. Is this legal?

chris h asked:

The vehicle and trailers are tagged in La. It is about 68′ long when connected together.

If I had to guess (and this is only a guess) I would say probably not legal. Easiest way to find out is to call your local DMV or your State Police. That way you’ll get facts and not opinions and guesses like mine. Good luck.

Call the DOT and ask. You can do this in some states but dont know which ones or if you need any special endorsments.

Louisiana? or Los Angeles? call the dmv to find out. it has to do with total length and combinations. if it has stop lights and a license tag, i dont see why not. but the main thing is, can you see it in your mirrors? if not you will have to put some type of flag or rod so you can see it when you are hauling down the road. good luck!

Doesn’t sound legal to me mate, perhaps you should make extra room on your travel trailer or get a bigger one.

Consider this conundrum- how would you back up if you went down the wrong one way street for a hundred feet?

it’s legal in some canadian provinces, but the rear trailer has to have independant brakes,so you dont jack-knife when you hit the binders

I think you have to have a trucker’s driver’s license to do this but I could be wrong?
