pvbonus asked:
Is there another name for it or what is its significance in terms of boat trailer safety? Thanks!
This was the phrase I was given but I’m glad to know I’m not losing my research skills as I could not find it’s meaning either. Thanks for the answers! I had a hard time picking the best one considering it is either obscure jargon or non-existent. Tongue weight was not what they meant though…so I remain curious.
What is a “plumb load” with regards to a boat/boat trailer?

A level load?

The definition of plumb is straight or level so I would assume they mean a level load or one that’s evenly distributed, weight wise, from end to end.

never heard of it. you may mean “Tongue” load which is the wei ght at the hitch. this affects the autos suspension capabilities and controls the type of hitch you need. most require at least a type 2 or 3 hitch with a 2 inch ball.
